Co-Curricular Transcript

The Co-Curricular Transcript is a self-reported document that lists activities the student has participated in while enrolled at The University of Tampa. Used along with a student’s placement credentials, the transcript provides prospective employers with information on the student’s involvement with co-curricular activities.

Employers are aware that co-curricular activities make for a well-rounded individual. By including the transcript with a resume, students can improve their marketability with potential employers or graduate schools. Involvement with student organizations, community service, campus media or Greek organizations can help students improve their social skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?
Students may obtain a Co-Curricular Transcript registration form at the Student Activities Office or the Office of Career Services. This first-time user form registers the student and creates a Co-Curricular Transcript data file.

What happens after registration?
After completing a registration form, a student will receive a Co-Curricular Transcript portfolio. This portfolio includes several co-curricular activity worksheets, sample worksheets, a co-curricular transcript request form, and sample copy of a finished transcript. Co-curricular activity worksheets are carbon copy forms, thus students can keep separate copies of transcript submissions.

When should I start the Co-Curricular Transcript process?
It’s best to start the transcript process during the first year at the University in order to preserve the document’s integrity. The sooner a transcript is started after an activity has been completed, the more accurate the information can be. Those who are further along in their UT education should begin a Co-Curricular Transcript as soon as possible and should try to be accurate when recording activities started/completed before the transcript’s creation.

Can I list all my activities in my Co-Curricular Transcript?
The Co-Curricular Transcript is a one-page document, so there is only room for up to 30 activities.

How often should I turn in activity worksheets?
To keep records accurate and up-to-date, students should turn in their worksheets upon completion of an activity. Ongoing activities (such as membership in organizations) may be updated at any time. If a student runs out of activity worksheets, they can obtain more from the Student Activities Office.

How do I obtain a copy of my Co-Curricular Transcript?
Students who wish to have a transcript copy for submission to prospective employers may request a copy from the Student Activities Office. Transcript copies are free and there is no limit to how many copies a student may request. To obtain an official or unofficial copy, simply complete one of the request forms found in transcript portfolio or at the Student Activities Office.
