UT Athletes to Distribute Gifts to Schoolchildren
The Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) of The University of Tampa’s athletics program plans to distribute Christmas gifts Friday to children at Just Elementary School in Tampa.
The gifts were purchased for the preschool through 5th-grade classes. Student athletes and coaches donated all funds for the gifts. Refreshments will also be provided to the children, courtesy of McDonald’s. The event involves members of each of UT’s 14 varsity athletic teams.
“We are really excited to work with Just Elementary School,” said SAAC President Jeremy Black. “This gives us an opportunity to give back to the community and provide a positive moment for these children.”
