Student Awarded Delta Scholarship

UT marine biology major Stacey Smith, a junior from Holly Hill, has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship by Delta Airlines.  Smith, who is planning a career in marine science, will study at Monterrey Tech in Mexico.  Her scholarship includes round-trip airfare on Delta for her studies abroad.

Smith has been active in the UT Environmental Protection Coalition, Beta Beta Beta and the Honors Council.

Delta’s International Scholars Program is administered by the Florida Independent College Fund (FICF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to students of Florida’s 26 private colleges and universities.
