Nursing Program Attains National Accreditation

The graduate and undergraduate UT nursing programs have been awarded continuing accreditation by the Board of Commissioners of the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission Inc., formerly the National League for Nursing.

National accreditation establishes that all of the nursing programs offered at UT meet national standards in curriculum, quality and preparation of faculty, teaching and learning resources, and achievement of established learning outcomes.

Many agencies and employers that provide funding for nursing students require that they be enrolled in programs that are nationally accredited.

UT nursing programs include the four-year baccalaureate in nursing science, the RN to BSN, and the master's degree in nursing, including family and adult practitioner and nursing education concentrations.

The NLNAC accreditation has been awarded to both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs until September 2011.
