Don and Erika Wallace Family Foundation Gift Recognized by UT

Published: August 15, 2005
The Don and Erika Wallace Family Foundation has recently donated $1 million to the University as part of its $80 million capital campaign. The funds raised during the campaign are being used for capital projects, teaching enhancements and endowment.

The Wallace’s gift has been recognized on a special plaque in the entryway of the Crescent Club, located on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center on the University of Tampa campus. The Wallace’s donation has also been recognized in the school’s lobby, celebrating the University’s first-ever, successful comprehensive capital campaign.

"Don's leadership as a trustee, and the family’s generous contribution, has played a major part in the University's on-going success in rebuilding the campus, increasing endowment and ramping up the academic quality of the University,” said UT President Ron Vaughn. “We are grateful to have such caring people in our University community.”

The Don and Erika Wallace Family Foundation was established eight years ago by Lazydays RV President and Chairman Don Wallace and his wife, Erika. Their philanthropic impact on the community has been widespread with dozens of local nonprofit organizations, large and small. Don and Erika Wallace have been huge supporters of the arts, health care and children.
