"I am very excited by the opportunity to join The University of Tampa and help implement a newly revised and innovative MBA program that increases its emphasis on leadership and project management skills," Prescott said. "We look forward to working with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to explore additional graduate program opportunities as they develop there. Conversations also are underway with a prestigious Latin American business school to design a joint MBA program."
"With Dr. Prescott’s appointment, we are ready for full realization of a new and unique MBA program that will put UT at the head of the class," said Sykes Dean Joe McCann. "She’s a great addition to the University team."
Previously, Prescott was director of USF’s Office of Resources for Business and Industry Training (ORBIT), a program she launched three years ago, developing Oracle and UNIX classes, a technical leadership workshop, and other technology-related programming. Before starting ORBIT, Prescott taught in the Information Systems and Decision Sciences Department at USF.
Prescott received the Internet Business Association’s DIGI 2001 Award in the academic category for advancing the information technology industry in Tampa Bay. She holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in management information systems from Indiana University.
