Alumna Issues $100,000 Annual Fund Challenge

A 1994 graduate of The University of Tampa has offered to match unrestricted alumni gifts to UT up to a total of $100,000. The offer is good for $50,000 this campaign year (through May 31, 2001) and another $50,000 next campaign year (June 1, 2001-May 31, 2002).

The anonymous benefactor points out that, although alumni giving doubled from 9% in 1995 to 18% in 1999, the national average is 24%. Slightly more than half of the annual fund’s $5-million goal has been raised.

The offer presents alumni with a stronger opportunity to achieve the goals of the "Take UT to the Top!" capital campaign, the benefactor said.
