Semester and Year-Long Programs

The University of Tampa encourages all qualified students to consider studying abroad as part of their degree programs. Note: Two majors (International Business Studies and International and Cultural Studies) and the Certificate of Intercultural Studies require a study abroad experience for graduation. Students anticipating studying abroad should visit the Study Abroad Center early in their college careers to begin acquiring information.

Summer, semester and year-long programs are available in all parts of the world, and University faculty lead a variety of short-term travel/study courses each year.

Some types of financial aid are available for study abroad, and various study abroad scholarships are awarded yearly.

To be considered for a study abroad program, a student must fill out an Education Abroad Application Form and attend a mandatory study abroad information meeting held throughout the semester (see schedule).

A Study Abroad Fair (PDF) will be held early in each semester. Representatives from schools and study abroad organizations worldwide will be on campus to talk with students and answer questions.
