Advanced Placement Credit

Students may receive academic credit (up to 30 hours) for successful completion of Advanced Placement (AP) examinations taken in high school.
  • The AP is administered by the College Entrance Examination Board
  • UT awards up to 30 hours of credit for both AP and CLEP
  • Credit is earned for 3, 4, and 5 only
  • Students may receive up to 8 semester hours of credit in English and Writing for qualifying scores on the AP exam
