The psychology department provides a strong liberal arts background in contemporary psychological theory and research. Students are offered a high-quality educational experience in psychology as a behavioral, cognitive, social science and applied discipline.
All psychology majors complete a set of foundation courses that teach the history and breadth of the field. For further exploration in a particular area, students can select one of five concentrations: cognitive, social, clinical, organizational or biopsychology. Students can also select a general curriculum covering all five areas. For more information on courses in each concentration, please see the
catalog.
