Band Camp

The UT Band Camp is a comprehensive music camp for woodwind, brass and percussion students in grades 7-12. This year's camp will be June 15-20, 2008. Registration deadline is May 15, 2008. Students may choose between day or resident camp. The summer band camp is designed to assist in the improvement of performance skills that relate directly to the positive experiences of playing in a large ensemble. Students will be assigned to a band on the first day of camp according to their musical experience and performance ability. The camp is sponsored by the Department of Music at The University of Tampa and led by UT Director of Bands Dr. Jeffrey L. Traster.

2008 Band Camp Schedule

• Sunday: 2-8 p.m.
• Monday-Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.

Grande Finale Concert
Friday at 7 p.m.
Family and friends are encouraged to attend the Grand Finale Concert on Friday evening (admission is free). 

Day Campers are provided one meal each day Sunday-Thursday, and two meals on Friday in the UT cafeteria.

Resident campers stay overnight in UT housing with meals in the UT cafeteria; they follow the camp schedule noted above, and then continue with structured activities through the evening.
