The
Bachelor of Music in Performance (BM) degree provides an in-depth study of music with an emphasis on developing individual musicianship and technique in one performance area.
Students who graduate with this degree:
- perform music professionally
- teach privately or at the college/university level
- continue performance and/or pedagogy studies at the graduate level

Audition Requirements for Bachelor of Music in Performance - Piano: Two memorized pieces of contrasting styles, with matching scales (four octaves, hands together)
- Voice: Two contrasting art songs or arias (both memorized, one in a foreign language); Demonstration of sight singing ability. Pianist provided. CD player provided if recorded accompaniment is preferred.
- Strings: Three-octave major scales, Two contrasting movements of J.S. Bach solo sonata, One movement of a standard concerto
- Winds and Percussion: FBA Grade V, VI, or VII solo or first movement of a standard concerto, major scales (two octaves), and sight reading.
- Guitar: Two pieces in contrasting styles, major and minor scales, and sight reading
