Department of Education

The education department develops students into teachers who are prepared to create compelling learning environments.

Students learn through active learning, which includes role play, debate, classroom model design, simulations and panel discussions. Further development occurs through case studies, self-evaluations and teaching practica. Courses are designed to offer students extensive experience working with children, adolescents and young adults in school settings.

Important Note: Entering students who desire to become education majors should immediately enroll in a specified course curriculum. Please read the catalog or consult with an education faculty advisor for more information.
