Dr. Richard Piper Honors Program Director Dana Professor, Government and World Affairs In addition to leading the Honors Program, Dr. Piper also frequently teaches courses in the program. As director, he has recruited the University’s best faculty to teach a diversity of subjects.
Dr. Piper has led travel-study courses to Western Europe and Russia on numerous occasions. He has received a Fulbright Scholarship to India, and has authored studies on the American Congress, the British Labour Party, the American presidency, the British Cabinets and Parliament. His latest book,
The Major Nation-States in the European Union, was published in 2005.

Dr. Raymond Papp Honors Program Associate Director Associate Professor, Information Technology Dr. Papp teaches courses in Web programming, microcomputer applications, and information technology, as well as Gateways and Global Issues. He has also taught technology courses in the MBA program. He has worked as a senior analyst in the insurance industry and maintains a consulting practice where he specializes in management consulting, e-commerce design, and personalized computer training.
Dr. Papp has published in several academic and practitioner journals and presented at national and international conferences. His primary area of research focuses on the strategic use of information technology as it relates to organizational strategy. He has published several articles and a book addressing strategic alignment.
