Finance

The finance major encompasses areas such as investments, corporate finance, international financial management, and financial institutions and markets.

The program offers instruction in all areas of business through courses in accounting, managerial statistics, computer information systems, economics, marketing and management. This is combined with contemporary studies in managerial finance, investments, financial institutions and international finance.

Finance students are prepared for careers in commercial banking, individual and institutional investments, insurance, private industry, and government. The program includes student learning challenges such as STOCK-TRAX, which uses the Internet for market execution of real-time orders, and FINGAME, in which students make corporate financial decisions and receive computer-analyzed results in the form of income statements, balance sheets, stock prices and financial ratios.
